Legioblock built storage bays with roofs built with wooden beams for Horlemann Automation & IT GmbH in Uedem. This company’s activities include the construction of gas, water and power lines and they were looking for a way to store the materials that are released during their operations. These bulk goods such as sand and gravel can be reused for other projects if they are separated from each other correctly.

Open storage bays for maximum storage

For the outdoor area, Horlemann opted for open storage bays. As each product has certain properties that influence the storage height and ultimately affect the maximum storage capacity.

Flexible solution

For this reason, Horlemann chose the Legioblock construction system for its flexibility. The concrete blocks can be moved at any time  as they are stacked without fixing materials or cement. This makes the structures ideal for temporary applications or to adapt to changing storage needs.

Footblock for extra solid construction

With Legioblock, it is possible to build several different constructions, each suitable for the product and weight in question. Imagine, for example, concrete boundary walls with footblocks for extra firmness and maximum storage capacity.

Roof with wooden beams

The management opted to build a roof with wooden beams for aesthetical reasons. Legioblock also provided all statistical calculations and construction plans for this roofing structure, in order to guarantee the workload of the roof as well as the walls.
